Dolgan Language is the language of everyday conversation, but there are some who speak a dialect of Yakut. At first, the Dolgans group was a nomadic hunter group and also a reindeer herder.

These Dolgans began to appear in the 19th century and early 20th century. This group still retains old customs and beliefs. Even so, there are already several customs and beliefs that have been influenced by Eastern Orthodox Christianity.
